Women Wage Peace and Women of the Sun representatives are part of Time magazine´s Women of the Year 2024 list

Dr. Yael Admi, one of the founders of the Israeli movement Women Wage Peace, and Reem Hajajreh, one of the founders of the Palestinian movement Women of the Sun are among the 12 women leaders who were chosen for the special edition of Time magazine which is published once a year for Women´s Day.

Women Wage Peace:

"During these difficult times, we are fighting against despair, and are carrying a flag of hope for a better future. We were moved by the choice of TIME magazine and this gives us the strength to continue our difficult journey, especially now. During this terrible period when all of us are experiencing pain and suffering, we share the call for ending this terrible conflict through political processes and working for the sake of our children´s future, with our sister movement "Women of the Sun".

Time Magazine publishes a list (Time Magazine, 21.2.2024) of Women of the Year for Women´s Day which includes extraordinary leaders who fight for a more equitable future.

AVIVA-Berlin is a longtime supporter of the movement and expresses her full solidarity for these brave women collaborating in their demand for peace. The election for Time Magazine´s list of Women of the Year 2024 is absolutely well deserved and shares a huge sign of hope during these difficult times against hate and hopelessness.
